Designed to broaden participants' language skills, the program provides exclusive resources and a practical approach to language learning, integrating theoretical knowledge with the practices of the job market and developing essential skills for participants' professional future.

This partnership represented a bold step towards revolutionizing higher education, shaping the future of learning and preparing students for promising careers in international companies and public organizations.

The challenge

In today's scenario, marked by globalization and the growing interconnection between countries and cultures, proficiency in foreign languages has become a crucial asset for professional success. Companies are increasingly involved in businesses with a global reach, interacting with clients, partners and suppliers from different linguistic backgrounds. This reality presents a significant challenge for individuals aiming for successful careers - the need to master not only their mother tongue, but also other languages.

Studies, such as the one carried out by Catho, reveal that multilingual ability can have a significant impact on salaries, with increases of up to 61% for those proficient in a second language. However, many people encounter obstacles when developing this skill, including a lack of access to comprehensive educational programs and personalized digital teaching methods. So the challenge is clear: to increase the employability of early-career professionals through accelerated language training, preparing them for an increasingly competitive globalized job market.

The demand

Identifying the growing demand for bilingual and trilingual professionals, the Ânima Ecosystem integrated the language teaching acceleration program created by Lingopass with extension activities that complement university education in Dual Curricular Components, drawing inspiration from international best practices.

The solution

The program offered exclusive features:

  • Complete self-diagnosis of each participant's profile, based on models that take into account the preferred learning style and environment, sociodemographic profile, personality profile and main behavioral motivator;
  • Gamified distance learning paths with personalized study plans;
  • Weekly live conversation classes;
  • Social learning, with messages, alerts and reminders, as well as invitations to events with national and international speakers.

At the end of each course and the bootcamp, all participants received certificates.

Flávio Calado, Dual Education Manager in the Vice Presidency of Academic Strategy at Ânima Educação S/A, chose Lingopass as the right language solution:

"We were looking for a platform that would allow us to create personalized content and facilitate interaction between tutors and students," says Flávio.

Lingopass features and functionalities: a complete learning experience

Students had access to a variety of resources and functionalities, including weekly live conversation classes, complete learning paths with interactive video lessons, quizzes and exercises, doubt centers, chat tutoring and weekly mentoring sessions for a complete learning experience.

Learning ecosystem

Conversation classes: Weekly live classes were offered at various times to accommodate students' and teachers' schedules, following a study plan and syllabus defined by the Lingopass teaching team for each track. The classes were all recorded and made available for replay on the platform throughout the journey.

Virtual platform: The fully integrated Lingopass platform provided a single access key to the classrooms, chat and forum, as well as didactic content tracks for complete training in each language. All on the same starting line: Access was given to each language sequentially, starting with French, followed by Spanish and English, with an emphasis on the 4 language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) according to the CEFR descriptors.

Didactic content: Developed by the Lingopass team, it includes recorded video lessons, podcasts and interactive games, as well as handouts related to each track/level, assessment quizzes with immediate feedback, and a multilingual dictionary.

Instructors and tutors: Classes and other activities that required interaction were taken over by Lingopass professionals with theoretical and practical knowledge, a degree in the field and internationally recognized certification.

Social learning: a WhatsApp community was created for social learning, in which 618 students joined, reflecting Lingopass' collaborative approach, promoting interaction between participants and encouraging the sharing of knowledge and good learning practices.

Extra mile: At the end of the bootcamp, we give you another month's access to the platform, as well as five micro courses to prepare for selection processes in English.

Analytics

Performance monitoring: Participants received individual access to attendance data, progress bar, grade reports, badges and even real-time ranking updates, increasing motivation and thus engagement.

Continuous assessment and certification: There were three assessment stages per level, a final exam and a certificate of completion for each course. The user had to have successfully completed the course in the set time, passed the assessment tests and sent feedback in order to receive the certificate and be released for the next course.

Satisfaction surveys: weekly, throughout the journey, allowing insights, questions and criticisms to be captured and fine-tuned in real time.

Metrics for managers: Reports were made available to the management team with information on the activities carried out by each user, including access time, frequency, history and performance.

Support

User support service to manage doubts and engagement. The pedagogical, technical and Student Success teams provided constant support throughout the journey, ensuring greater engagement and performance.

  • On-call tutoring in real time, in a virtual room, at various times to resolve exercises and questions.
  • Technical and academic support, via chat and e-mail.
  • Support from the Student Success team, via chat and e-mail.
  • Weekly joint mentoring bringing together all the participants, under the supervision of a teacher from the Ânima Ecosystem, with the participation of our tutors.

The result

The program has played a fundamental role in the project to qualify university students. With the platform, designed to be a management and control system for managers, it was possible to measure and prove these positive results:

  • Reach: 900 participants directly impacted and accompanied over 120 days by our team, participating in almost 100 hours of live classes, carrying out 46,000 self-study activities on the platform, representing 6,000 hours of study in total.
  • Engagement: Of these, 620 joined the social learning channel, receiving 23 posts, with an average of 326 participants in the 12 mentoring sessions offered, and 368 sent calls to the Lingopass Helpdesk.
  • Performance: 35% of participants completed the program in 90 days, with an average of 23 days to complete each course, reflecting an impressive completion rate in an online educational environment.
  • Satisfaction: The NPS (Net Promoter Score) rate recorded for each course exceeded 80%, reaching the zone of excellence, and the satisfaction rate for live classes, measured by the CSAT (Customer Satisfaction Score), reached 90% (95% for the English course), demonstrating the extremely high level of satisfaction among participants.

Impact

The demographic data of the respondents highlights the diversity of the participants, both in terms of gender and ethnic origin.

With 46% representation of black and brown people, as well as 77% of women, the program has reached out to those who have historically faced greater challenges in entering the job market and have had less access to high-quality language courses. This has resulted in the creation of an inclusive and diverse environment.

Finally, the distribution of the initial level of proficiency declared shows that the Lingopass platform catered for both beginners and students with some prior knowledge of the language.

Adelma Riccio, from São Judas University in São Paulo, shared:

"The online course I have just finished was incredible, the platform is easy to access and very didactic, not to mention all the tools available, and how much the team strives in every way to benefit and facilitate student learning. I would like to thank all the teachers and staff in general. The experience and the contact with the French language was extraordinary and I will definitely come back to continue with the other stages of the course, because there is a taste of wanting more! The teachers are excellent and very kind. I'm happy and satisfied for this incredible opportunity, this project can't stop. See you soon and thank you!"

Within the framework of the qualification project for university students in the Anima Ecosystem, Lingopass has played a crucial role in accelerating the acquisition of new language and cultural skills in an effective and engaging way.
