The contract

With the goal of serving its customers with excellence and efficiency, Bling entered into a strategic partnership with Lingopass in 2023 to ensure a smooth transition to a new ERP system, with a focus on market expansion. Operating in two locations and working with various partners, the company directed its efforts toward the Mexican market, which included hiring two local employees and providing Spanish and Portuguese language training for approximately 18 foreign employees. This expansion project, carried out in 2023, sought to rapidly improve employees’ oral and written communication skills, ensuring effective cultural integration and fluid, confident communication with native speakers, thereby reinforcing Bling’s position as a leader in its segment.

The customer

Bling is a Brazilian company that offers an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for micro and small businesses, streamlining business management through a platform that integrates sales, inventory, and finance, among other functions. In 2019, Bling was acquired by Locaweb, a leading provider of web hosting, internet services, and cloud computing in Brazil. This acquisition represents a type of direct investment, with Locaweb becoming Bling’s primary investor.

The challenge

In 2023, Bling, part of the LocaWeb group, launched an expansion project into Mexico, facing significant cultural and linguistic challenges. To ensure effective communication in the new market, the company invested in training its employees in Spanish. Hiring two local employees was a strategic move to facilitate understanding of Mexican cultural and business nuances, promoting effective cultural exchange.

Bling implemented intensive Spanish language training programs, focusing on both communication skills and cultural adaptation. This comprehensive approach was essential to creating an inclusive work environment where collaboration between Brazilians and Mexicans was harmonious and efficient. The experience demonstrated that cultural and linguistic preparation was crucial for successful international expansion, going beyond traditional business strategies.

The demand

During its expansion, Bling faced a key challenge: training approximately 15 employees in Spanish. To ensure that everyone started the training at the appropriate level, the company administered placement tests in Spanish and Portuguese for 14 people. In addition, a structured and effective language learning program was needed, which included live Spanish classes in a dedicated group.

Bling operated in two different locations, offering local support and access to a wide range of resources. The company had several strategic partners, which strengthened its market position and enabled significant synergies.

During its expansion into Mexico, Bling hired two people directly from the country, which highlighted the need for cultural exchange and knowledge-sharing among the teams. With a dedicated team of approximately 18 people, the project aimed to ensure the success of operations in the new market. A comprehensive Spanish language training program was implemented for all employees involved, with the goal of improving their oral and written communication skills, thereby establishing more fluid and effective communication with native speakers.
